The Oberlin Community
Endowment Fund
The Oberlin Schools Endowment Fund represents a long term effort to provide funding for creative programs to enrich every student's experience in our local public schools. Established in 1986, the Endowment Fund enables exciting, special learning opportunities which engage students in the classrooms, field trips, in art, music, athletics and more. Gifts to the Endowment Fund keep on giving, every year in perpetuity. Join us and show the children of Oberlin that our community generously supports them. Your donation makes a difference.

Community Partners
Robinson Scholarship
Professor William L. Robinson, founding Dean of the District of Columbia School of Law and the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law, will now have an endowed scholarship named in honor of him.
An anonymous donor has given $1 million to help endow the William L. Robinson Scholars Program. The program is open to students who attend all four years of Oberlin High School, Oberlin City School District resident for four years, and qualify for admission to Oberlin College. Oberlin launched the partnership scholarship program 15 years ago, providing an opportunity for graduating Oberlin seniors to receive full tuition scholarships to attend a top-ranked liberal arts college.
Ninde Scholars
Oberlin High School students in grades 11 and 12 may apply to become a Ninde Scholar. Applicants must demonstrate a drive for learning and desire to continue their education post graduation. The program is open to students who lack the support and resources to apply to college. We especially seek underrepresented students, low-income students, and students who would be the first in their families to attend college. Selection criteria include academic success measured by grade point average and quality of essay; financial need measured by eligibility for federal free and reduced lunch; educational background measured by highest level of parent education; and motivation and engagement in education measured by short answers and essay on an application.
